The way in which I was looked after from the moment of arrival to leaving was fantastic...A year on I have almost forgotten about the operation, am totally pain free and have full movement inmy shoulder, even the scar is difficult to see.

I was hoping you’d pass on my tremendous gratitude to Andrew for the incredible surgery he has performed on my shoulders over the last six or so years. I think I first met with him in 2015 for a minor repair on my shoulder. He has really helped me gain my confidence back which will undoubtedly last a lifetime for which I am grateful for.
Not only will this help in my career as a paramedic but it will allow me to carry on with sport pretty much worry free. His knowledge and dedication to the profession specifically to shoulders and elbows is proven in the excellent care he delivers.

I have a full range of movement, the strength is nearly matching the left side and I have no pain. A very long way from when I couldn't even use my right arm to shave!
I was in constant pain with my left shoulder and had a consultation with Mr Chambler, surgery was decided to be the best option as I had given it plenty of time to heal, to no avail. I had my surgery in January after which I went home after a couple of hours, other than slight discomfort over the next day or two I was amazed at the pain level being less than pre operation. I had a couple of bouts of physio at Sulis hospital and thereafter returned to my own gym where I embarked on rehab with a P T friend, a few weeks later I had full range of motion and no pain whatsoever. I’m back to normal now and can’t praise Mr Chambler and Sulis enough, a very happy outcome
I wasn't sure what to expect when I went for my meeting with Mr. Chambler. It was the first time I'd ever had the choice of a surgeon before.What I found was, initially, a welcoming and clear discussion about the options for fixing my shoulder. I was guided through the process at each stage and, when I had a question, it was answered promptly by Gail. I was really impressed that I could be booked in for my operation so quickly, and after having some additional checks done to ensure everything was as expected, and having been given a pack to ensure I was at the least risk of infection, I was suddenly ready for surgery.On the day Mr. Chambler met me, clearly discussed what to expect and introduced me to the anaesthetist. He even helped me into my gown! What really stuck with me was such a small thing. Years ago I'd had a tattoo done, which was special to me, and it looked like part of it would be affected. I joked about saving it, but knew that fixing my shoulder, of course, took precedence. When the bandages came off, I was overjoyed to discover that Mr. Chambler had taken the time to ensure that his repair hid in my tattoo without any damage at all. I was so nervous about my operation and Mr. Chambler and Gail made it so much easier.

I’m no stranger to surgery, this being my 12th overall and 4th on the shoulders, and I found Andrew to be extraordinary. He exudes competence, both from his manner during the consultation and clear knowledge of the field. This continued through the pre- and post-operative chats, and follow-up consultation. He repaired a large tear in the left rotator cuff after removing a mass of inflamed tissue, which all healed much faster than previous ops, with surprisingly little pain. Put simply, I can’t recommend him highly enough.
